Legal requirements state that ‘A service must ensure all applicants complete the relevant(CRB Form) Criminal Record Check/Disclosure & Barring Service.’ This will allow for a Safeguarding of Vulnerable Adults (SOVA) to be carried out, which will highlight any individual who has been placed on the safeguarding of Vulnerable Adults List (Barring list).
