Modern Slavery Statement
This statement is made in relation to the Modern Slavery Act 2015, and it lays out the steps that we at Whitecliff Services Ltd, has taken to ensure that modern slavery or human trafficking is not taking place within our services or supply chain. We recognise that the sector which we operate are more susceptible to human trafficking and slavery than others.
Modern slavery is a crime and a violation of fundamental human rights. We have a zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery, and we are committed to acting ethically and with integrity to all our business dealings and relationships and to implementing and enforcing effective systems and controls to ensure modern slavery is not taking place within our business.
Our policies
We operate several internal policies/procedures to ensure that we are conducting business in an ethical and transparent manner. These include:
Recruitment Procedures – we operate robust recruitment procedures including conducting eligibility to work in the UK to ensure that only those eligible are employed.
Whistleblowing Procedure – We have systems in place to encourage reporting of concerns and the protection of whistleblowers. we continue to operate a whistleblowing policy so that staff know that they can raise concerns about how Colleagues are being treated, or practices within our business or supply chain, without fear of reprisals. All members of staff are encouraged to speak up if they are not sure of something and/or have any concerns.
We are also committed to ensuring there is transparency in our own business and in our approach to tackling modern slavery throughout our dealings consistent with our disclosure obligations under the Modern Slavery Act 2015.
We have robust HR policies and procedures in place to ensure compliance with employment legislation is followed and to prevent unethical working practices. We are committed to ensuring fair remuneration.
Our policy and our statement apply to all persons working for us on our behalf in any capacity, including employees at all levels, directors, officers, agency workers, seconded workers, volunteers, interns, agents, contractors, external consultants, third-party representatives, and business partners. We expect the same high standards from all our business partners.
